2:36 am	sometimes i wait at the top of the stairs (cutely) in hopes that i will catch baulz's attention, prompting him to play with me. but baulz is too dimwitted and it takes him forever to notice me. sometimes i'll hear him cry, "scooby booby boo, where are you?" like he's being cute by making a reference to a cartoon that started in 1969. perhaps i should change my name to booa kim; maybe then will i win his consideration. 3:58 pm	the groomer that baulz takes me to always wraps a tiny bandana around my neck after they've cut and shampooed me and usually baulz throws them away. this last time, though, he decided to keep the one they tied on to me because he said it was cute. from far away it looks like military camouflage but on closer inspection, it has a dinosaur pattern. 10:45 am	if i know someone is coming/going up the stairs from downstairs, i'll run ahead and wait for them where the staircase bends and, as they reach the top step, i'll jump out and bite them a.k.a. terrorize them with a sneak attack. but sometimes baulz spots me and spoils the trap. 10:34 pm	sometimes i feel as if i'm garfield the cat and baulz is jon arbuckle. except baulz is like the more extreme version. and by "extreme" i mean "pathetic". his life is a lot more dull than jon's. and at least jon was able to go on a few romantic dates with liz wilson. baulz has no one. girls hate him. an exciting day for baulz is returning the books he's checked out back to the library and then trying to find 8 or more lettered words on bookworm deluxe. i swear, if i hear that little worm yell, "welcome to bookworm. let's go!" one more time, i'm going to chew four of the seven new balance 574s baulz owns. 10:29 pm	i wandered into baulz's bedroom and found some shiny donuts on his bedroom floor. after chewing on them for a bit i realized, to my horror, they were baulz's CDs. i felt bad so i went out and bought him a CD skip doctor... ...and attached the following note : i hope he feels better. 10:27 pm	i spent my sunday afternoon being lazy and finishing up baulz's crossword puzzle. you should see the crossword puzzle! baulz thought that "mindy" lived with "mark". (Comment on this)

10:25 pm	this is how i react literally every time i hear human voices and/or dogs barking outside baulz's bedroom window. i say, "hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey! hey!" (note : that's usually what dogs are saying when they're barking). i overheard baulz making plans to go out to a fancy restaurant tonight (i think buca di beppo). this means i'll be stuck in my cage until he comes home (i bet he won't bring me home any leftovers). when he gives me the command "boo, cage" i'm going to try my best to run around the house vigorously for as long as i can and force him to try and catch me; who knows, maybe he'll be late for his reservations and have no choice but to stay home with me and let me bite him. 10:17 pm	it seems like it's been raining for weeks here in illinois. luckily, the sun showed up for a brief moment and i was able to catch some rays. i can relate to hobbes when it comes to how great it feels to just relax in the sun's heat. (Comment on this)

10:15 pm	whenever i look in the mirror, i see a lion. but i usually brush off the notion because they're in the cat family and i'm a puppy. but then i read "tibetan monks believe that lhasa apsos are reincarnated lions and as such hold them in high esteem" and now my observations don't seem as silly. in tibet, we're known as the "bark lion sentinel dog" - how majestic!
